Organisation: Radioactive Waste Management Limited
Creating a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.
Radioactive Waste Management Limited (RWM) has been established to deliver a geological disposal facility (GDF) and provide solutions for the management of radioactive waste. This represents a major multi-billion pound national infrastructure programme. RWM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) which is responsible under the Energy Act 2004, for the clean-up of the UK’s publicly owned civil nuclear legacy sites including the management of radioactive waste.
As part of the transformation in developing a company-wide programme capability for RWM’s activities, we now require a Strategic Planning Manager to manage the strategic activities of the Programme Directorate and provide advice at both portfolio and project levels. The role will be required to cover a wide range of capabilities, from managing stakeholders and the governance framework, through to undertaking business and capability planning to support the development of a multi-billion pound business cases for future phases of the GDF programme .
With strong communication and interpersonal skills that will enable you to successfully influence and respectfully challenge colleagues in relation to business planning and strategy development, you will also be responsible for establishing and managing the prioritisation framework and potential risks to the overall RWM portfolio.
Our most important asset is our people and we will provide a supportive and inclusive work environment in which they can realise their full potential.
Closing date for applications is Monday 23rd July 2018
