Organisation: Radioactive Waste Management Limited
Creating a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.
Radioactive Waste Management Limited (RWM) has been established to deliver a geological disposal facility (GDF) and provide solutions for the management of radioactive waste. This represents a major multi-billion pound national infrastructure programme. RWM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) which is responsible under the Energy Act 2004, for the clean-up of the UK’s publicly owned civil nuclear legacy sites including the management of radioactive waste.
Building on RWM’s obligation to reduce the burden of our radioactive waste legacy on future generations, we are now searching for a Head of the Higher Activity Waste Programme who will lead a small team of professionals responsible for providing waste management solutions to the nuclear industry.
With significant waste management experience and a track record of managing effective programmes, preferably in a highly regulated and safety critical industry, you will fulfil our commitment to deliver an optimised programme for higher activity radioactive waste management.
Working in close collaboration with the NDA, its subsidiaries and site license companies to deliver of a wide range of strategic and functional solutions, you will ensure that waste being retrieved and packaged today, is safe and suitable for its long term management including future disposal in a GDF.
Closing date for applications is Friday 27th July 2018
