Creating a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.
Radioactive Waste Management Limited (RWM) has been established to deliver a geological disposal facility (GDF) and provide solutions for the management of radioactive waste. This represents a major multi-billion pound national infrastructure programme. RWM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority which is responsible under the Energy Act 2004, for the clean-up of the UK’s publicly owned civil nuclear legacy sites including the management of radioactive waste.
As part of the transition into delivering on RWM’s programme of activities, we require a capable. dynamic Events Manager to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering events for RWM to engage the general public (including potential host communities for the GDF), local government, business and community leaders. Safeguarding that RWM’s core messages are communicated consistently and its reputation enhanced, you will ensure that all RWM events are managed to the highest standards.
In a vitally important role, you will lead the development and organisation of events for RWM as its sensitive and complex work proceeds. You will shape RWM’s events to engage a wide variety of stakeholders including technical experts, opinion formers and concerned citizens. You will arrange venues, speakers and resources, communicate with delegates/attendees and organise and support participants from RWM as required.
Please contact us if you have the skills and commitment to help deliver this essential national project with the full engagement of all parties.
