Cost Manager

Location: Harwell, Oxfordshire.
Organisation: Radioactive Waste Management Limited
Reference: RWM038

Creating a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.

Salary circa £40K and benefits

Radioactive Waste Management Limited (RWM) has been established to deliver a geological disposal facility (GDF) and provide solutions for the management of radioactive waste.  This represents a major multi-billion pound national infrastructure programme. RWM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) which is responsible under the Energy Act 2004, for the clean-up of the UK’s publicly owned civil nuclear legacy sites including the management of radioactive waste.

As part of the transformation in developing a company-wide programme capability for RWMs activities, we now require a Cost Manager to ensure that a consistent, appropriate and optimised cost management approach is applied across the RWM portfolio.

You will be accountable for ensuring the programme management office has effective standards, processes and procedures in place to identify, manage and monitor costs across the portfolio. The role will analyse costs and provide expert challenge and advice to delivery areas to ensure the full budget impact is understood and managed.

Our most important asset is our people and we will provide a supportive and inclusive work environment in which they can realise their full potential.

Closing date for applications is Friday 15th March 2019
