Opportunities
Location: Tottenham, London
Organisation: Newlon Housing Trust

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing
association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north
and east London.
In this important role in Newlon’s senior management
team, you will represent the Property Services Department and take the lead in
managing and developing the Special Projects Team.
With responsibility for the control of major, large scale
refurbishment projects within Newlon’s existing stock, including all fire safety-related
major works projects, you will report to the Assistant Director, liaising with stakeholders,
residents and contractors to provide end-to-end project management for the
projects, from initial investigations through to building remediation and potential
Court or Arbitration matters. You will ensure each individual project runs as
smoothly as possible, is delivered on time and within budget, and to Newlon’s
usual high standard.
With substantial professional experience as a
Surveyor, Construction Manager or similar, and a relevant qualification at
Level 4 or above, you will have a proven management background with the ability
to lead a team of professionals and deliver substantial planned maintenance
works programmes and complex construction projects. You will have first class
project management and communication skills, along with sound knowledge of
housing property law, industry standards and property related health and
safety. You will ideally have membership of a relevant professional body such
as RICS, CIOB or CIH, and you must be able to travel easily from site to site
so use of a vehicle would also be an advantage.
In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a
non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi scheme. You’ll also be
working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale
Village regeneration project and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the
major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
Given the scale of our ambition, you will need to be passionate
about wanting to make a difference to our communities
and boroughs. Moreover, your strong value base will put our communities at
the heart of everything we do.
This is an extremely exciting
and prosperous time to join Newlon. If you are interested in this key position,
then we look forward to receiving your application.
